Body-Mind therapy
I offer a variety of services, as I work with different modalities to align your life force and keep your body and spirit in balance.

BODYWORK/ MASSAGE THERAPY
helps activate the natural healing processes in each patient's body as well as to restore their physical and emotional well-being. As a certified Massage Therapist, I help patients reduce their stress and anxiety - or simply enjoy a blissful relaxing professional massage.
I work in my beautiful airy BLUE ANGEL THERAPY - room/ Dartington estate.
My massage is therapeutic with a firm touch, and I like to treat the whole body at once - also taking into account the body's memory and the associated emotional blockages. (Holistic treatment).
I offer deep tissue massage where necessary or requested.
I have a collection of Weleda massage oils which I mix with beeswax and organic sunflower oil.

COUNSELLING
Integrative Counselling: this humanistic therapy approach can draw on different techniques as they are needed. This helps to improve the efficacy and efficiency of your treatment and adapt it to your specific needs. My approach is
Person centred
which means it is based on the experiences and the world of the client who is seen as an expert for their experience.
CBT
Cognitive behavioral therapy is based on the idea that how we think affects how we feel, and that persistent negative thinking patterns lead to depression and a feeling of helplessness. It often uses phrases as "on a scale from 0 to 10..." Another technique I often use is
Gestalt therapy
Gestalt therapy promotes personal change by helping to actively gain new experiences with themselves and other people, to learn new ways of experiencing and behaving in a lively way and to overcome existing difficulties. Gestalt therapy is not only a talking therapy, but also tries and experiments: with behavior, physical movements and postures, with thoughts, feelings and attitudes - the interpersonal, the emotional, the physical and the intellectual. All areas together form that holistic "gestalt" that makes a person - hence the term "Gestalt therapy".
Sand tray therapy
exploring themes and relationships by choosing symbolic items and arranging these in a 50x70cm sand-tray. This technique taps into our subconscious mind very quickly and deeply. It is a wonderful technique as themes evolve in front of both client and therapist.
Play therapy for children 3+ and teenagers.
My approach uses sound/music, movement and painting/drawing but also fairy tales and other story telling or role play. I have studied this creative therapy work for three years at "Zukunftswerkstatt" in Germany, where it is widely known and appreciated.
Transpersonal
Transpersonal psychology combines wisdom teachings and modern psychology. Findings from near-death, consciousness research, neuro-biology, new physics and reports from mystics also flow into these concepts. A central part of transpersonal practical repertoire are interventions such as inner journeys, or meditation.
Walk and talk
sessions possible on the beautiful Dartington Estate gardens.

BODY-MIND THERAPY, EMBODIED THERAPY
• This is a Non-verbal approach – when words and talking are just not sufficient.
Sometimes it can be really helpful to try and access emotional blockages (which can end up becoming chronic pain issues) through touch.
• Muscles and tissue which store and release emotions (“body memory”) are treated, this means that problematic
themes can be addressed on a deeper level
This enables reintegration of lost soul parts on a spiritual level
and enhances your holistic well-being.
The bodywork will complement counselling by
helping release emotions held in the body – the body memory -, so that they can be experienced and brought to the counselling.
helping to gain better awareness of how your physical body is in the here and now.
Embodied therapy can help access pre-verbal – early childhood – (e.g. attachment) issues.
This concept is based on our five main human interactions:
ACTIVE PASSIVE
· To see and to be seen
· To sound and to be heard
· To grasp and to be touched
· To push/press against and to be hold
· To lean against and to have someone’s
· support
Emotional digestion and reflection that we need to integrate experience is often neglected in the complexity of our busy lives.
Receiving bodywork alongside counselling offers the opportunity to “digest” material that has been brought up.
Respecting my client’s autonomy, trust in their wisdom and my non- judgmental positive regard creates a safe space for the client to trust their healing process.
The healing power of touch (it increases production of oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins, the bonding/ feel-good hormones)
and the wholesome experience that the body can be seen as a vessel for the evolving soul helps the client to develop a more positive Body image and to accept previously unlovable parts of their body.
